Thus, these will be the steps and requirements that you will have to fulfill in order to validate your veterinary medicine degree in Australia.

How to validate my degree to be able to work as a veterinarian in Australia?

  • If you have studied at any of the universities that recognize your degree in veterinary medicine, you can directly validate your degree.
  • If your title is not directly recognizable, you have two options:
    • Complete your studies in veterinary medicine at one of these Australian universities.
    • Take the National Veterinary Exam (NVE).

Requirements to take the National Veterinary Exam (NVE)

Once you meet these requirements, you will be ready to register and take the National Veterinary Exam. In order to register, you will have to send the documentation detailed above to the following postal address:

Once you have passed the final exam, a certificate will be issued that will be sent directly to you. With it, you will have to register as a veterinarian in Australia. From there, you will have the same right and obligations to work as a veterinarian in Australia.

If you still do not meet the English level requirement, do not worry. You can come to Australia with a student visa, enroll in an English course and work part-time on something else to finance your stay until you improve your level.
