Open your bank account before arriving in Australia

1. Register

1.1. Sign up through this [link]

1.2. Click on the “Bank Accounts” button

1.3. Open your new account by clicking on the “Open Account” button

2. Choose the type of account

2.1. Choose the option that applies to your visa:

  • Student visa: Student Everyday Account
  • Working Holiday visa: Everyday Account

2.2. Click the “Open Account” button

2.3. Click the “Get Started” button

3. Fill out the form

Answer all the questions in the form.

3.1. Click the “Okay” button to start filling out the form

3.2. Arrival date in Australia: Enter the date of your flight to Australia

3.3. First name, Middle name, and Last name: Make sure your name matches the details in your passport

  • If your name contains the letter “ñ”, replace it with the letter “n”
  • Do not use accents

 

3.4. Choose the language for your online account. We recommend choosing English to start getting familiar with it.

3.5. Use an email address that you check regularly

3.6. Phone number: Select the international code and enter your phone number

3.7. Date of birth: Enter your date of birth. Make sure it matches the one in your passport.

3.8. Postal address: Select your home country and enter your postal address

  • If your address contains the letter “ñ”, replace it with “n”
  • Do not use accents or periods. Separate each part of your address with commas.

3.9. Select your bank branch

  • Indicate the Australian state where you’ll be living
  • Choose the branch where you want to pick up your debit card upon arrival. We recommend the following:
    • Gold Coast > Pacific Fair Broadbeach QLD
    • Brisbane > Queen St Brisbane QLD
    • Melbourne > Collins St Melb VIC
    • Sydney > Town Hall St Sydney NSW
    • Perth > St Georges Tce Perth WA

 

3.10. Create your NetBank Password

This is the password you’ll use to access your online account

It must be between 8 and 16 characters, include uppercase and lowercase letters, and at least one number

4. Client number and bank account details

Once you’ve completed the form, the screen will display:

4.1. Your Client Number: You’ll also receive an email with your Client Number and a link to access your account

4.2. You’ll also be able to print your new bank account details (“Read & Print”)

5. Pick up your debit card in Australia

5.1. Finally, when you arrive in Australia, your Dingoos integrator will go with you to the branch you selected to validate your account and pick up your debit card.

Make sure to bring the following documents with you:

  • A copy of the “Read & Print” document, which you can download from your online account
  • Passport
  • A copy of your school’s Letter of Offer and your visa
  • Tax information: If asked, your National ID (DNI) will be enough
