Byron Bay City

Living in Byron Bay: the coolest and most bohemian town

The hippie city of Australia par excellence, known for its good rollazo and incredible beaches, is the paradise of the most bohemian surfers.

The coolest and most bohemian town

Living in Byron Bay means being north of the state of New South Wales, about 100 kilometers south of the Gold Coast and 770 kilometers north of Sydney. It has a permanent population of about 5 thousand inhabitants, not counting the hundreds of tourists who come in search of adventure and fun every year.

A city that lives on tourism, with a bohemian and relaxed atmosphere like the icon hippie city that was there for the 60 and 70 years. Surfers, painters, naturalists and artists live in this city supporting its sustainable development, always preserving the most natural characteristics of the city.

If you want to soak up the hippie atmosphere and 100% aussie surfer, with good weather throughout the year and incredible beaches, it will be an advantage for you to choose this destination to live your Australian adventure. On the contrary, if you are looking for the atmosphere of the big city it may not be your best destination. It has the disadvantage that in low season, there is not as much job offer as in Sydney, Melbourne or Gold Coast, for example.
