*Importante: el AHPRA es el organismo que decide si necesitas o no el curso puente. Primero debes solicitar el registro con ellos para que te confirmen si lo necesitas o no. Es obligatorio una carta de invitación del AHPRA para poder matricularte en un curso puente en Australia.

¿En qué consisten los cursos puente de enfermería en Australia?

Existen solamente un total de 9 universidades/escuelas que ofrecen cursos puente (bridging course) aprobados por AHPRA. Los cursos puente de enfermería están divididos en dos fases: una teórica y una práctica.

  • La parte teórica se basa en el sistema de salud australiano y la cultura tanto australiana como aborigen.
  • La parte práctica sirve para llegar a conocer de cerca el trabajo real en los hospitales, tal y como hiciste cuando eras estudiante de enfermería en tu país de origen.

Por norma general, el curso puente tiene entre 3 y 5 semanas de teoría, incluyendo ejercicios y trabajos de investigación. Algunas escuelas también incluyen escenarios prácticos para desarrollar tus técnicas de enfermería. La parte practica dura entre 4 y 8 semanas, te asignan un hospital donde serás evaluado en tu día a día.

La nota final dependerá de ambas partes. Cuando finalmente obtengas tu certificado, podrás volver a solicitar el registro en AHPRA para obtener la aprobación final de tu título de enfermería en Australia.

Requisitos para solicitar el curso puente

Dependiendo de la escuela que elijas te pueden solicitar diferentes papeles. La mayoría ya los tendrás puesto que los habrás necesitado previamente para la solicitud del registro con AHPRA.

  • Carta de invitación de AHPRA. Sin esta carta no puedes realizar ningún curso puente de enfermería en Australia.
  • Certificado de examen de ingles ( IELTS 7 o OET B)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Titulo y notas certificadas y traducidas
  • Certificado de antecedentes penales
  • Tarjeta “Working with children” (solo en los estados de Victoria, WA y NSW)
  • Evidencia de vacunaciones ( Hepatitis B, pertusis, difteria, tétanos, sarampión, paperas, rubéola, gripe y mantoux si no tienes la vacuna de tuberculosis)

¿Dónde puedo realizar los cursos puente?

Las escuelas ofrecen cursos en diferentes ciudades. Sin embargo las prácticas en hospitales pueden no ser en la ciudad donde tengas la teoría. Normalmente son en el mismo estado donde haces la teoría, pero ten en cuenta que te pueden mandar a otros estados. Las ciudades donde se realiza la teoría son:

  • Gold Coast ( Queensland)
  • Melbourne (Victoria)
  • Perth ( West Australia)
  • Sydney ( New South Wales)
  • Adelaide (South Australia)
  • Myrtleford (Victoria)

¿Cuándo puedo realizar el curso puente?

Desde que recibes la carta de invitación de AHPRA para el curso puente, tienes un año para realizarlo. Las escuelas ofrecen diferentes fechas, dependiendo de tu disponibilidad y las plazas de cada curso podrás elegir cuando realizarlo. Ten en cuenta que el curso es a tiempo completo, tanto la teoría como las prácticas y duran un total de entre 10 y 14 semanas dependiendo de la escuela. Tendrás que organizarte bien para elegir las fechas que más se adecuen a ti. Nosotros te ayudaremos a decidir. 😉

¿Cuánto cuesta el curso puEnte de enfermería en Australia?

Los precios varían entre $11.500 AUD (7.681 €) y $15.200 AUD (10.152 €) dependiendo de la escuela. No dejes que estas cifras te asusten. Una vez que empieces a trabajar como enfermera en Australia, recuperaras este dinero en unos 3 meses.

    Entiendo que estais hablando en todo momento de personal que ya tenga la titulación de enfermería en España, porque que pasa si tienes otra titulación y te gustaría realizar algún curso tipo un auxiliar de enfermería o algo similar que luego te habilite a más, es decir, te permita hacer enfermería allí…podría ser. por ejemplo, yo soy quimico.
